We are so grateful to have a wonderful group of volunteers to help us tend to our community, and we’re happy to introduce you to: Linda Gill
Volunteering with Hope Blooms since: 2018
Why do you choose to volunteer with Hope Blooms?
It is such a fun atmosphere to be a part of. Knowing the bouquets I repurpose will bring a smile to someone’s face, that is heartwarming.
What’s your favorite flower and why?
Lily of the Valley because it is so delicate. The flowers last about a week so I appreciate them so much more while they are in bloom.
Why is giving back in your community important to you?
There is no better feeling in the world knowing you are making a difference in someone’s life.
What’s your favorite way to spread joy?
Just showing kindness to others – giving a hug, compliment or listening ear can mean so much in someone’s day.
Name one of the most joyful moments in your life.
When prayers were answered and my nephew, after almost 300 days in the hospital, was able to be released and go home.
What’s a hidden talent or something no one would ever guess about you?
I once played the accordion.
What’s your favorite quote?
“Promise me you’ll always remember: You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.” – Christopher Robin
When you’re not spreading joy with Hope Blooms, how do you spend your time?
I spend a lot of time volunteering in several areas of the community. I ride bike, walk, play pickleball and enjoy time with family and friends.
