We’re back!

Volunteers assemble bouquets the first week in June at Hope Blooms. The bouquets were delivered on doorsteps in neighborhoods throughout the community.

You matter. These two tiny words hold a special meaning in our hearts because they are the inspiration behind Hope Blooms. They exemplify belonging and inclusion, and they illustrate a person’s fundamental value as a human being.

During this uncertain time, our belief that everyone matters today, tomorrow and always is our north star and will continue to guide our interactions and daily work in our beloved communities.

Thank you for those who have continued to uplift our mission during this uncertain time and for everyone who has sent messages of support! We are forever grateful for every one of you – our joy makers and this community’s change makers.

During the past couple of months, we continued to be a source of hope and joy through creativity, including:

-Hosting virtual floral trivia for residents at an assisted living facility

-Drawing spring scenes and inspirational messages on windows and sidewalks at facilities throughout Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding communities

-Offering free gardening supplies, including seeds and soil, to sprout joy in your own yard

-Holding a coloring contest

We are excited to share after a pause in our bouquet deliveries because of COVID-19, we have resumed our activities, continuing to be a light in our community and SPREADING JOY.

We plan to support the 40-plus facilities and community programs we regularly deliver to, when appropriate and safe to do so. And, we are also showering the community, as a whole, with love through neighborhood, doorstep deliveries.

Shop
We reopened with enhanced cleaning and safety precautions in our shop, during volunteer events and during bouquet assembly and delivery. Individuals assembling and delivering bouquets will wear masks and gloves. We are taking extra care in processing and assembling bouquets by reducing the number of people who touch the items.

We will continue to closely monitor state and CDC guidelines. Click to read more about our COVID-19 guidelines for operations and volunteering.

Volunteering
Our shop is open to volunteers and we will cap all volunteer activities to five people or less at this time. This will be continually reevaluated and adjusted, as needed. If you’re interested in volunteering, please visit our Facebook page. We will post our open volunteer opportunities there for the time being.

Floral Donations
We are now accepting all floral donations. Please contact us if you would like to donate flowers from an event or your personal garden. We’d love to spread joy on your behalf!

Help Needed
We have a few regular volunteer opportunities open for picking up weekly floral donations. The shifts are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. If you’re interested in helping, please email kelly@hopeblooms.org.
